Puppy ...

Peabody Sam .. a.k.a. Puppy

This is our crazy little dog.  We rescued him because our big dog was lonely and he was sooo cute .. well, what we didn't know was he chews EVERYTHING.  Likes to de-stuff furniture.  Likes to fight.  Barks .. a lot. the aggression thing was getting pretty out of hand, so we "fixed" him.  His meanness has faded .. but that's about it.  He still barks his little dog ass off, chews everything, breaks every rule .. but we love him, he is part of our family.

Usually, I can't for the life of me get a picture of him .. he won't stay still. 

This precious moment was recorded when I came home from work one day, one day it had been raining buckets, to find my wild beasts had continued - in the  rain- to hunt a gopher.  They usually won't go out in the rain, but today!!  Oh, today was DIFFERENT!!  There was mud everywhere .. the back corner of the yard looked like a pond, the had not just dug holes, but tunnels big enough for the bassett to disappear from vision.  Anyhow, the gopher was caught, the rain has stopped, the trenches have been buried ..

this makes me dizzy ..

oh mama!!  let me kiss you and get my muddy mess all over your work clothes!!

but seriously .. how could you not love this wily little beast

everywhere I go, everything I see

every major road I travel is currenly under construction.  why?

I am detoured twice within 10 miles of my place of business .. and that detour is NO JOKE.  Seems everyone in town has also been detoured to this exact freakin' intersection.  I used to get really angry and not let people cut in front of me when the lanes merged, but now, after practicing the mantra "no F words" for days and days, I am feeling much better on my way home :)

Today will be even better!!  I don't have to get stuck in that jam-up for three whole days!!!

could it get any better?

my little jabberwock was down with the flu for 3 days .. very abnormal, he never gets sick. 

he and kitty were snuggled up for hours.  sure looks nice.

It's a girl, my lord, in a turquoise Ford slowing down to take a look at me!

Notice the perfect positioning of the "pin-ups" window decal in the reflection.  Heck yeah my girl is a pin-up!!  I couldn't have done better if I tried. we were just cruising along and I'm always trying to get a good photo of Big Blue's reflection, and the opportunity presented itself (quite nicely!)

there are days that are so beautiful, you don't need an artistic eye or fancy camera to capture magic on film. this was one of those days!
